Ruth Burotte is the youngest artist ever commissioned by the Broward Cultural Division for a public arts work.

At 18 years old and a graduate of Dillard High School, Burotte was chosen from a healthy pool of applicants, many of whom are working artists, to create eight original works to wrap graffiti stained traffic light cabinets in various west Broward neighborhoods.
