Peterson Kamwathi @ Fountainhead
Kenyan artist, Peterson Kamwathi, participated in The Fountainhead Residency during summer, 2016.
His work in Miami focused on the mass movements of people between continents and the extreme measures that individuals will take to migrate from one continent to another. Each of his pieces featured human figures swimming and diving, the composition of those figures forming their own free-flowing shapes.
Kamwathi’s image of Miami evolved while in residence, especially as he visited areas that are outside the neighborhoods for which Miami is known.
