Philanthropist and businessman Mike Fernandez, with his son Alex Fernandez, visited the new home for the Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership. Located in the SIPA II building of the Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs (SIPA) on the Modesto Maidique Campus, the Ferré Institute’s chic new location is poised to be a space where ideas relating to civic leadership flow freely between Ferré fellows, instructors, and community leaders. Mr. Fernandez’s message to the fellows in attendance was that leadership is about serving and not about ruling.
